AI & automation in Asia, where the work genuinely differs.

The regulatory picture is genuinely heterogeneous here — PIPL in China, APPI in Japan, PIPA in Korea, India's DPDP Act, Singapore's PDPA — and they differ on consent, localisation and cross-border transfer in ways that make one regional automation design impossible.

Practice

Why this page exists

Not the same work with a place name attached.

A service-by-location page earns nothing when it recombines two pages that already exist. This one exists because ai & automation in Asia runs into constraints it does not meet elsewhere — and those constraints change the sequence of the work, not just its wording.

01

What changes

The regulatory picture is genuinely heterogeneous here — PIPL in China, APPI in Japan, PIPA in Korea, India's DPDP Act, Singapore's PDPA — and they differ on consent, localisation and cross-border transfer in ways that make one regional automation design impossible.

02

The binding constraint

China's combination of PIPL, the Data Security Law and the Cybersecurity Law imposes localisation and transfer requirements that need specialist review before any data-touching build. Korea's PIPA is among the stricter regimes globally on marketing consent.

03

What we would do first

Treat each market as its own build. A shared workflow with per-market consent branches is usually cheaper than it looks and the only version that survives review.

04

Measurement in Asia

Review discovery, conversion and sales follow-up by country, device, language and channel before expanding the regional content footprint.

Markets

Where this applies in Asia.

Country relevance comes from useful market evidence and delivery capability. It does not come from adding a country name to an unchanged offer.
